Castore Sportswear
I’ve been told by a very reliable source that premium sportswear brand Castore (who sponsor Andy Murray and Rangers) are in talks to take over the kit deal once the Umbro deal expires.

Just had a look at some of their gear and it seems quite pricey. And I think they’ll have a job bettering Umbro’s kits which have been immense for us.

“You've done better than normal here with your research”

In other words, “you’ve completely pulled my pants down here”.

Re: Castore Sportswear
How am I supposed to know how it differs to the Stoke one? But the other one, given that it's a copy of the 80s shirt, is fairly self-explanatory. The training kit was all identical though - eight PL teams were adidas while we were and it was all standard.

What has your mate at Umbro got to say about next season's kits?

Ok Clubman, what personal touches were there with the Adidas kits then?

Re: Castore Sportswear
You've done better than normal here with your research (we all remember you completely embarrassing yourself with that nonsense about the third shirt), but they're bespoke. Obviously some elements of shirts are going to be the same with some manufacturers, but there are always "personal" touches (in more recent years - I seem to remember the last time we were with Umbro that many were the same). The person who chose the kits told me this.

We didn’t have Jobserve as a sponsor whilst Adidas made our kits, Swiss son.

Re: Castore Sportswear
Although it was just before my time for wearing one nothing will beat the 1980-1983 home shirt. Just perfect imo.

Will always have a soft spot for the 83-85 home shirt with the Avco sponsor in the centre of the sky blue bit. The first West Ham shirt I ever owned.

Re: Castore Sportswear
They weren’t bespoke. Not sure if you’re aware of what a bespoke design is.

The Adidas kits were nice but they were templates in our colours.

Example from the 2013/14 season:

You're embarrassing yourself again - you need to find something that you know more about to bullshit about. The adidas kits were bespoke designs, not templates.

Re: Castore Sportswear
The Adidas kits were ok, though they were just templates in our colours.

The training gear was absolute pony however.

I remember the excitement when the deal was announced with people thinking they’d do a vintage collection of some sort, but no, just standard Adidas gear with the West Ham badge ironed on. Ironed not even stitched.

Umbro have been bang on for me.

Re: Castore Sportswear
They are all made in whatever globally based factory works the best (usually on price) for the brand.
The brand name is a mere bit of stitching (if you are lucky).
